“In my professional opinion Hyde Drift Boats are the benchmark in drift boat design, construction and customer service. I have owned a Hyde since 1999 and put over 120 days per year on every boat I’ve owned. The durability of their boats is great. They can really take a beating. Whether we are fly fishing on a 106 degree day or duck hunting well below zero, as I guide I want to “get-em” (the fish) more than my clients do. If I know that there is a fish holding in heavy water or shallow skinny water. As a guide it is my job to get my client to where the fish are and if I have to pin the boat up against a boulder in the Yellowstone or grind the boat hard on the Madison or Missouri then that’s whit I’ll do. It’s all about the client hooking fish. Hyde Drift Boats give me opportunities to fish where other guides/anglers just aren’t comfortable working the boat through. I have always used my boat like a tool, and the Hyde Boats have taken everything I’ve thrown at them. I have just bought a new 2007 low profile and have ordered the new high/low design due out soon. I believe in Hyde Boats 100% because Hyde stands behind their product 100%. LaMoyne, Steve and all the staff at Hyde – thanks for all your help support, service and products. It is because of those four things that I support Hyde Drift Boats and will continue to do so.”

Trey Coon, owner of Yellowstone TroutScout Outfitter, has been a licensed guide and outfitter with the state of Montana for 7 years. During this time, he has gained experience on the Yellowstone, Madison, Missouri and Boulder Rivers, as well as the famous Spring Creeks that Montana has to offer. This experience is what keeps anglers coming back to him year after year. Trey is very passionate about fly-fishing and it shows. He goes to great lengths to show his clients the best experience possible. Trey’s love of fishing has taken him all over the country. His experiences include 12 years of crewing and guiding on the Great Lakes, fishing the Florida Keys, guiding for salmon on the Muskegon River in Michigan and guiding for steelhead on the St. Joe River in Indiana.
Each fall, Trey trades in his fly rod for a shot gun and is found guiding clients on bird hunts, both upland and waterfowl, throughout Montana.
“As a guide, I think that it is important to provide the client with a wonderful experience. To have lots of fun, teach some techniques and show them what Big Sky Country is all about.”
