Jason Moore
JACKSON, WY
Head Guide at Jackson Hole Anglers - Jason Moore, originally from the Finger Lakes region of upstate New York, grew up fishing and enjoying all the outdoors has to offer. As a young adult he headed west to chase his passions of fishing, hunting and skiing in the Tetons. Jason began guiding full time for Jackson Hole Anglers in 2008. Guiding the diverse rivers and still waters of western Wyoming and Yellowstone National Park is something he does not take for granted. He is also proud to be one of the few permitted guides that runs the white water section of the Snake River Canyon, in a drift boat. Jason has consistently placed well in the Jackson Hole One Fly, beating out 80 of the region’s top guides to be the top scoring guide in the 2019 competition. Additionally, an accomplished fly tyer, in 2022 his fly won the One Fly. Jason’s oarsmanship, casting instruction, and burning desire to put fish in the net, all while providing a fun and educational experience is top notch. A day fishing with Jason is a day one will truly remember. When not guiding Jason can be found hunting, fishing and skiing throughout the mountain west with his wonderful wife, young son and his two springer spaniels.
