The Elk River is a free stone river that presents itself with new and challenging hazards every spring. My low pro with the G4 bottom handles these challenges better than any other water craft I have rowed! Whether I am dropping it down rock banks because of a lack of boat launches or sliding it over gravel bars and dead fall to get to a fishy back channel, this boat can take it. I have taken my boat on so called raft only stretches with no concerns as it handles like a sports car yet it still has the luxury of a Cadillac!

Paul co-owns and operates The Elk River Guiding Company and Fly Shop in Fernie British Columbia. With the Elk River arguably being some of the best dry fly trout water in North America, he and his family have no plans to leave anytime soon. As an avid outdoorsman, Paul takes his fishing seriously. Having spent many years hunting and fishing in the Canadian Rockies, along with a Bachelor of Science in Zoology, his outdoor knowledge and skills are difficult to match. Fishing nearly 100 days per year, with 75 of those days on the Elk River & tributaries, the expertise that is shared on one of his guided fly fishing trips will heighten your knowledge of our local fishery in addition to hooking you up with some of the biggest fish in the Elk Valley.
