Hello Mr. Schiemann,
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We appreciate your attention to detail and the thoughtful comparison you made.
To clarify, the rope we use today is the same 27/64' poly-braided rope we’ve been using for over 20 years. Any noticeable difference in diameter is likely due to normal wear, compression, or moisture absorption in your older rope — these factors can slightly alter how a rope feels and handles over time.
We continue to use this same rope on all of our own boats and have found it to perform well under a variety of conditions. That said, we completely understand that pulling an anchor can vary depending on setup. If you’re finding it difficult, we recommend using a 2:1 pulley system such as the Easy Pull Anchor Assembly or our SpinRx Pulley System — both are available on our website and can significantly reduce the effort required to lift your anchor.
We appreciate your recommendation and will take your comments into account as we continue to evaluate our gear in real-world fishing conditions.
