The pedestal assembly takes up a very small space in your boat giving you a lot of room to move around. The Tempress seat (sold separately) attaches directly to the cap. Pedestal can swivel 360 degrees and has a knob to adjust how freely it rotates (can be locked tight to stop all rotation). The Flush Mount base is used in the rear of the boat, where the Recessed Mount Base is used in the front of the boat (please specify above).
